1. First of all, start by placing all the drum shells on the floor in front of you. Each shell will have its corresponding skin a top and bottom skin. Usually, the top skin will be coated white and the bottom skin will be transparent. Place the top skin on the drum shell and make sure the shell is facing the right way up, the drum logo on the shell should be facing the right way up that’s a clear indication you’re on the right path. 2. Using the drum key provided, tighten each tension rod by approximately 1 turn. Once the first rod is in place the 2nd rod should be directly opposite the first rod, like a 12 o’clock 6 o’clock position, and continue this until all tension rods have been inserted. Repeat the 1 turn process until you get the desired sound. The reason we do this is to give the skin an equal balance. If you over tighten one of the tension rods more than the others the skin will get a ripple effect, and you could damage the rim and the skin.
3. The Hardware is pretty easy to assemble. The legs simply open up on the cymbal stands. you will usually get two cymbal stands, a boom stand for the ride and the other for the crash. The crash is generally on the drummers left and the ride is on the drummers right. Each stand will come with felts which protect the cymbal from cracking at the bell of the cymbal, The felts are those round black soft pads with a hole in the centre. before putting the felts on you’ll need to first put the plastic cymbal sleeves on each stand first followed by the felts then the cymbal and lastly the wing nut to secure the cymbal. Now you have successfully put your cymbals on each stand

let’s start with the kick drum also known as the bass drum dampening the kick drum will give you a nice thud as opposed to a horrible overtone this is done by restricting the vibration of the drum head. A simple trick for this is to stuff the bass drum aka kick drum with an old jumper or jacket up against the skin that the beater hits. That would mean removing the front skin. generally the skin with the kit brand logo and placing the jacket or jumper in the middle and putting the front skin back on. The end goal is to have a nice thud backbeat sound with a bit of resonance. As a result the kick will sound awesome.
Tuning the other drum heads such as the snare drum and toms you can buy products such as Moongel, which sticks to the drum skin and does an excellent job of controlling its sound. You can also use the old (gaffer tape) to the head trick by adding some tissue, or a spare cymbal felt between the tape and the head to dampen the sound.
